The Role 

The Audience Development Manager role sits within the AN Marketing Team. This position interfaces with the Marketing and Sales teams and will spearhead audience growth and engagement across web, social media and email and help to drive attendees to AN-hosted events.

Responsibilities Include:

Email and Print Marketing | Digital Database | Digital Audience

  • Own digital database and audience growth responsibilities, own lead generation targets
  • Create a customer-centric segmented list based on behavior, location, and profession
  • Maintain subscribers’ count for all newsletters
  • Oversee the performance of the newsletters. Identify key metrics to report to the executive team to offer insights
  • Create forms for all event landing pages
  • Upload form responses and attendee lists from all events to Listrak
  • Manage and schedule– all email marketing e-blasts; Job Board, Awards, All events (Facades+, Tech+, Virtual events, Cocktail crawls, Paid Sponsored Eblast)
  • Own direct messaging on LinkedIn using automation tools
  • Send survey and present after all in-person and virtual conferences
  • Cross-train to assist other departments as needed

Subscription Management

  • Provide customer service for all inquiries about all subscriptions
  • Manage all marketing emails related to subscriptions
  • Drive ideas to grow the subscription database
  • Update and manage the subscription database: SimpleCirc
  • Own communication with the printer
  • Prepare print-order and manage postage for all print issues

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in audience development at a media company
  • Build customer lists for email and social channels
  • Proven ability as a self-starter who can develop and execute impactful projects
  • Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, balance priorities, and work effectively under pressure
  • Well-versed in social platforms and tools
  • Expert level of email marketing platforms
  • Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of Print Processes

The Benefits 

  • Annual Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 (Based on Experience)
