Our Culture

Collaboration is at the heart of our office.  We are a diverse group that enjoys working together and often spends time together outside of the office.  Several of us are in a hiking group.  We celebrate each other’s growing families.  Many of us have been with the firm for over 10 years.

At PBWS, our lives are not defined by architecture, but architecture is a big part of our lives. We know that growth in individual areas of interest makes our practice richer, so we take a balanced approach to our profession. We put in long hours at times when we have crucial deadlines, but regularly working 50 or 60 isn't our expectation.

We are primarily working in person in an excellent, biophilic work environment in Pasadena -- a short walk from Old Town.  We also provide for remote work on a regular schedule or as needed with approval from the supervising partner.
