Senior Project Manager Job Posting

Kamen Tall Architects is seeking a Senior Project Manager (SPM) with at least ten years of experience in facade restoration, historic preservation, FISP, adaptive reuse, and traditional design. Our projects involve buildings in New York City and Westchester County, many of which are landmarks.

Job Description:

The Senior Project Manager is expected to take responsibility for the life cycle of the project and lead the project team. Responsibilities include client interface, contracts, forensic investigation, close-up inspections, detail development, drawing and checking.

Job Requirements and Skills:

  • Arch., M.Arch., B.Eng., or equivalent degree from an accredited U.S. Architecture or Engineering School is preferred.
  • Certified to perform scaffold inspections.
  • Ability to develop construction documents and details based on field exploration.
  • Ability to knowledgeably interact with outside parties.
  • Experience with NYC DOB, LPC, and other regulatory agency filings.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team setting and adapt to office standards.
  • Self-motivated and aware, display enthusiasm for team collaboration.
  • Responsive and dependable to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent drawing and sketching skills.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Revit and/or AutoCAD (required).
  • Ability to use construction administration software such as PlanGrid is preferred.
  • Ability to use InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp and/or Rhino is preferred.

Salary/Compensation

$90,000 - $130,000
